Maybe forest gate will then become the place we will all enjoy living in again.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17963015734920086904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4060845208960850368.post-33073599524668237502018-03-16T09:37:16.093+00:002018-03-16T09:37:16.093+00:00Have you contacted the head of the Nursery School ...Have you contacted the head of the Nursery School about the loss of light etc?Drew Jarmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16917651375834541415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4060845208960850368.post-35931086419622870702018-03-15T11:24:56.889+00:002018-03-15T11:24:56.889+00:00The site clearly needs developing. Firstly being the taller element in the proposal it will mask the fact that the residential component will not be criticized for what it is: out of scale with the surrounding area. Secondly, and most importantly, the church tower sets a dangerous precedent for tall buildings in Forest Gate. Any future tower (it wasn't very long ago that towers were being proposed in Forest Gate) will make reference to this church tower as a justification for height. The consented development across the road is about as high as is appropriate for a location like this. I'm concerned that any tall elements on the Methodist Church site will be used to justify tall and out of scale development on the Durning Hall site when it finally gets developed.
